Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Mobile Sauna Sites and Central Yard - East Sussex.
Job Type: Full-Time – 40 hours per week (daytime, evening, and weekend shifts, with 2 days off per week) weekend work is essential.
Salary: £26k - £30k, based on experience
Benefits: Company van provided for work use.

Role Overview

The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day on the ground staff support, operations & maintenance of the mobile sauna sites, ensuring they run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, people managing skills, strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the initiative to self-start, and manage time well and efficiently. 

You are the key on-the-ground representative, the Site Manager works closely with staff, being the point of contract for all things site operations, ensuring staff receive and understand new operational changes, deliver training during a site open, provide cover for mobile sites as needed, oversee maintenance checks, and ensure a high-quality customer experience.

A significant part of the role involves supporting staff and internal comms, maintaining the safety, upkeep, and functionality of all sauna sites, handling minor repairs, overseeing routine maintenance schedules, and coordinating larger repair needs with external contractors.

The Site Manager plays a crucial role in troubleshooting operational issues, supporting staff, and ensuring seamless site openings, while escalating major concerns to the Operations Manager. This position is ideal for a proactive and adaptable individual with experience in hospitality, skilled trades or DIY, outdoor operations, facilities management, or a similar operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Site Upkeep

  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on saunas, stoves, and site facilities.

  • Monitor wear and tear, reporting and escalating larger maintenance needs to the Operations Manager.

  • Ensure all equipment, including heating systems, lighting, and seating areas, is fully functional.

  • Oversee site cleanliness, ensuring high hygiene standards and a welcoming environment.

  • Manage wood supply for all sauna sites.

  • Monitor incoming site orders and stock supply for sauna supervisors.

  • Perform basic carpentry repairs where necessary.

  • Conduct regular safety checks, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

  • Monitor weekly maintenance reports from sauna supervisors.

  • Manage & review your trello board - Delegated by the Operations manager / Founders.

2. Day-to-Day Site Operations

  • Act as the main on-site problem solver, identifying and resolving operational challenges.

  • Follow company guidelines & policies to maintain a consistent operational standard across all sites, proactively identifying areas for improvement.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for sauna staff/ supervisors on the ground. Monitor internal staff comms.

  • Step in to cover staff absences when necessary to ensure smooth operation.

  • Ensure all hard copy training materials are up to date & positioned at the correct site locations. 

3. Staff Coordination & Communication

  • Conduct regular check-ins with staff during shifts to ensure consistent service standards.

  • Support the Operations Manager in implementing new processes and on the ground training staff on operational changes.

  • Assist in onboarding and training new staff, ensuring they are familiar with site procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance requirements.

  • Manage sauna supervisors.

  • Conduct onsite 1:1 staff training for new starters at existing sites. 

 4. Procurement & Logistics

  • Manage wood stock, and ensure all sites have wood supply - liaise directly with supplier (Mark). 

  • Collect and distribute printed materials (e.g., safety manuals, operational guides).

  • Conduct monthly lost property collection and deposits.

  • Transport equipment and emergency supplies between sites as needed.

5. Site Openings & Expansion Support

  • Assist in setting up new sauna sites, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are in place.

  • Help develop site-specific operational and maintenance manuals with the Operations Manager.

  • Conduct staff orientation and training at new sites.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in hospitality, outdoor operations, event production (green field events), skilled trades or DIY, facilities management, or multi-site management.

  • Happy to work outdoors for extended periods of time including early mornings and weekends in different locations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.

  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.

  • Practical maintenance knowledge

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs.

  • Full UK driving licence required.
