Accessed from Beaconsfield Road, our sauna café is located under the iconic Viaduct, offering a calm, cosy café and open-air courtyard with impressive views.
With a large outdoor area, plenty of seating, and our Finnish style sauna facilities, it’s the ideal place to unwind, recharge, and escape the buzz of the city.
Whether you’re after some quiet time, a bit of something different, or just a chance to soak up the Brighton atmosphere, our Sauna Café is the perfect addition to your day - any day of the week.

Our café serves up nutritious bites and guilt-free indulgent treats, alongside coffee that not only tastes great — it's supplied by the non-profit legends at Skylark Coffee.
With cosy spots inside and out, it’s the perfect place to catch up on emails, meet friends, or settle in with a good book.

Through the back of our café, you’ll find the entrance to our leafy garden — a hidden retreat in the city.
Tucked away from the bustle, it’s a space designed for nourishing rest, complete with saunas, cold plunges, and quiet corners to unwind, connect, or simply do nothing at all.

Swimwear:
Our dress code requires that swimwear is worn in the sauna.
Towels:
one towel to sit on for good hygiene
another for drying afterwards
Water
Is supplied but you may wish to bring a bottle for afterwards.

There are 4 changing rooms in a sheltered area in the Sauna garden plus lockers for your belongings. You are welcome to bring a padlock for the lockers to secure storage.

There are alfresco cold water showers.
There are 2 toilets located inside the café.

Sessions can be booked in multiples of 30 minutes. We recommend booking 60 minutes for a relaxed experience. You can find more information to help you decide here.
15 minute session will be available as walk-ins if we have space and cannot be pre-booked.

There’s pay-and-display parking available on the surrounding roads.
If you're cycling, there are a few bike racks just in front of Shahi Tandoori restaurant.

If are booked into a session but can no longer attend you can cancel from your Periode account. You will get a gift card code that you can apply to your next booking if you cancel more than 24hrs in advance.
We do not offer money refunds.

Yes, your session fee includes full use of both the sauna and the cold plunge pools during your booked session time. You’re more than welcome to arrive a few minutes earlier to get changed and ready so you can make the most of your time.

Absolutely! You’re very welcome to relax in our café before or after your sauna session. We serve a range of hot and cold drinks, along with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Feel free to bring your laptop too if you’d like to work from here for a while.

Guests must be at least 12 years old to use the sauna. Anyone aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult (18+) at all times. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests.

Yes, we do. We offer four 1-hour Silent Sessions each week:
Mondays from 10-11am
Wednesdays from 2-3 pm
Thursdays between 7-8pm
Fridays between 5-6pm
These sessions are designed to help you truly tune in, switch off, and relax. We kindly ask all guests to leave conversation at the door and preserve the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere of the sauna.
