Location: Luna Hut Sauna Café – Beaconsfield Road, Brighton, UK
Job Type: Part-Time – 15–20 hours per week (including weekends and evenings. weekend work is essential)
Salary: £13.25 per hour PAYE

Role Overview

As a Barista and Front of House team member at Luna Hut Sauna Café, you’ll be a key part of creating a warm, nourishing, and welcoming space for our guests to enjoy exceptional coffee, health-focused food, and calm, connected hospitality.

Working under the guidance of the Café Manager, you’ll support daily café service – from prepping and serving to keeping the environment beautiful and the flow running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Café Service & Guest Experience

  • Welcome guests warmly and run the café floor with confidence and care.

  • Prepare and serve drinks, including barista-made coffee and teas, to a consistently high standard.

  • Plate and serve food in line with house standards, maintaining quality, presentation, and portion control.

  • Create a calm, friendly, and well-organised space where guests feel looked after even during busy periods.

  • Handle customer queries, small issues, and day-to-day decisions independently, using good judgement.

2. Solo Shift Operation & Site Care

  • Open, run, and close the café independently, following set procedures and safety checks.

  • Manage stock levels during your shift, including restocking fridges, coffee, and dry goods as needed.

  • Keep the café, prep areas, and guest spaces clean, safe, and presentable at all times.

  • Monitor the flow of service, pacing yourself and prioritising tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

  • Take responsibility for the café environment, spotting and dealing with issues before they become problems.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in a café or hospitality role.

  • Friendly, proactive, and calm under pressure.

  • Comfortable with multitasking and supporting different areas of service.

  • Interest in wellness, food, and community-led spaces.

  • Strong team spirit and communication skills.

  • Barista skills are required.

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
